Latest Trending news in Nigeria today, is that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released and announces the cut off marks for admission into Nigerian Varsities, which includes:
Universities,
Polytechnics,
Colleges of Education.
According to information which was released by the JAMB registrar, the board came to conclusion on this cut off mark on the 14th of July, and this is the official cut off marks for admission into Varsities.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has announced that every Universities in Nigeria will be using 180 as their cut off mark for admission.
While for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian Polytechnics and Colleges of education official cut off marks is 150, this is valid for the 2016/17 academic session.
This was announced by the Registrar of the JAMB board, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, who disclosed to the general public in Abuja at the end of the 2016 policy meeting of the board, went on to say that all candidates seeking admission into polytechnics and colleges of education are expected to have a minimum score of 150 marks to be qualified and eligible.
Still speaking on this issue, the registrar, Professor Ojerinde, went on to advised all universities, polytechnics and colleges of education to conclude the 2015/2016 admission exercise before the 31st of October this year, also laying emphasis on 60% to 40% admission ratio in favour of the sciences and 70% to 30% admission ratio in favour of technical courses.
Not stopping there, the registrar went on to advised all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of education to stick fast and cling to the 2016 admission policy guidelines in order not to deprive eligible and qualified students seeking for admission into tertiary education to further their education.
However, one thing is certain, big Tertiary institutions like:
University of Ilorin
University of Benin
University of Port harcourt
University of Lagos
Federal University of Science and Technology
Nnamdi Azikwe University,
Just to mention a few, will certainly and surely high their cut off marks, because of too much applicants seeking for admission to the institution.
